Soccer Recap: North Lincoln Comes Up Short

North Lincoln lost against Hickory back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Knights came up short against the Red Tornadoes, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, North Lincoln can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 260th, while Hickory are ranked 29th).

North Lincoln is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10-2. As for Hickory, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-2-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Red Tornadoes beat North Lincoln by a score of 7-1 on Thursday.
