Volleyball Recap: Desert Mountain Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Desert Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs. If the Wolves were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-14.

Ava Archibald paced Desert Mountain's offense, picking up nine kills. Archibald got some help from Ayana Conklin and her 15 assists. Conklin was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Desert Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Sunrise Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Desert Mountain has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Arizona College Prep on the 7th. Sunrise Mountain has also already played their next match (against Kellis), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
