Basketball Recap: Velva Comes Up Short

Velva lost to Bishop Ryan back in March of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Aggies took a 59-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions.

Velva has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Bishop Ryan, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Velva has already played their next matchup, an 84-47 win against Glenburn on the 19th. As for Bishop Ryan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-56 loss against New Rockford-Sheyenne on the 19th.
