Adair County's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Cumberland County Panthers by a score of 9-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.
Bryce Russell made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Russell was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zane Gist, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Jasper Kemp was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Cumberland County, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
