Football Preview: Freeport Bulldogs vs. Walton Braves
The Freeport Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Walton Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Freeport is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Freeport will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any points last Friday, then bounced right back against Baker on Friday. Freeport came out on top against Baker by a score of 36-26.

Walton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Malcolm Byrd and Sampson. Sampson also hauled in two receiving touchdowns, which is notable because Walton is 3-1 when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
The win got Freeport back to even at 4-4. As for Walton, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season.
Freeport ended up a good deal behind Walton in their previous meeting back in September of 2020, losing 42-28.
