Softball Recap: Hinsdale Central Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Hinsdale Central's offense. They came up short against the Cuba-Rushford Rebels on Tuesday, falling 24-0. The Bobcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Hinsdale Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Cuba-Rushford, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

Coming up, Hinsdale Central will venture away from home to square off against Andover at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14 runs per game on average), something the Bobcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cuba-Rushford, they will square off against Genesee Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Rebels' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
