Football Recap: Roxana Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Roxana won the last time they faced Salem and Mekhi Shorter did his part to make sure it happened again. The Shells took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 46-7 victory over the Wildcats for which the team can thank Shorter, who rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 79 yards.

Roxana's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.5 points. As for Salem, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Roxana didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 21-19 defeat against Freeburg on the 3rd. As for Salem, they have also already played their next game, a 48-13 loss against Breese Central on the 3rd.
