Providence Day had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Cannon on Tuesday. The Chargers never let the Cougars get on the board and left with  a   6-0  win. The  victory was nothing new for the Chargers as they're now sitting on six straight.
Not much got past  Trevor Yancey, who gave up just  two  hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Cannon off the board. Yancey has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Jack Rivera, who  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with two  stolen bases and one  run. That's the most  stolen bases  he has posted since back in March.  George Couchenour also deserves some recognition as  he  snagged his first  stolen base of the season.
Providence Day pushed their record up to 11-10 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  on the road. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Cannon,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 5-11.
 Looking ahead, Providence Day will face off against Pro Stock Royals Academy at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Cannon will be paying especially close attention to the Chargers'  game: after the Chargers face off against the Royals, they'll take on Cannon again  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday.
