The biggest upset of the week belonged to Temple City, who took down 547th ranked South Pasadena, 42-35. Nick Starling ran for 152 yards in the win.
The Rams moved up to 648 from 730 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Rio Hondo. Temple City was able to make the jump by besting the Tigers 42-35.
Blake Heyworth put up the best numbers through the air as Monrovia defeated La Canada. He finished with eight completions for 184 yards and three touchdowns. Heyworth's favorite target this week was Crayvon Gillespie, who caught one pass for 56 yards.
Mario Del Cueto was the best wideout in the league this week as the Spartans fell to the Wildcats. Del Cueto tallied two receptions for 59 yards. Matt Jones helped La Canada's passing attack out by catching one ball for 13 yards.
Monrovia's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Heyworth has thrown for 1239 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Mason Bryant has 27 catches for 462 yards. Ge Vontray Ainsworth leads the league in rushing with 564 yards.
A big matchup in Rio Hondo this week will be when Mike Mcfarland's team takes on San Marino. As it stands, the Rams are in third, while the Titans are in first.
San Marino extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Blair, 86-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
