Blue River Valley is a perfect 10-0 against Tri since October of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Vikings will take on the Titans at 10:00 a.m. Tri took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Blue River Valley, who comes in off a win.
Blue River Valley not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 18th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Union with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.
Blue River Valley's got stronger as the match went on, holding Union to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-7.

Blue River Valley can attribute much of their success to Bekah Grim, who had 14 digs and two aces, and Kendra McQueen, who had 12 digs. Grim is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.
They weren't the only good servers: Blue River Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 15 aces in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Tri was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Union County.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 19-25, 25-15, 25-21.
Blue River Valley's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Tri, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.
Blue River Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Tri when the teams last played on Wednesday, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
