Pikeville has gone 9-1 against Hazard recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will head out to challenge the Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Hazard will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Pikeville extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Panthers blew past Paintsville, posting a 38-0 win. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky football rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Tigers are ranked 142nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hazard). They put the hurt on Paintsville with a sharp 56-33 victory last Friday. The game was the first time the Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs have beaten the Tigers on their field since November 25, 2016.

Pikeville's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Hazard, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Pikeville strolled past Hazard when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 24-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
