Basketball Recap: Northwestern Gets the Win

If Northeastern wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Northwestern, they should've done a better job of containing Peyton Roseberry. The Northwestern Warriors claimed a resounding 47-11 victory over the Northeastern Jets thanks in part to Roseberry, who went 9 of 14 en route to 20 points along with eight boards and seven blocks. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in steals (four).

Another player making a difference was Lilly Bushey, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played.

Northwestern's win bumped their record up to 4-16. As for Northeastern, they are on a 35-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-21.

Northwestern wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 72-49 loss against Graham Local on the 1st. As for Northeastern, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-9 defeat against Fairbanks on the 1st.
