Baseball Recap: Lyons Triumphs

Lyons and Glenbard West pushed the score to 13-9 the last time they played Glenbard West, but on Wednesday defenses reigned supreme. The Lions never let the Hilltoppers get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Hilltoppers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Tommy Georgelos, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lon Roberts, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Lyons' victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Glenbard West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
