Football Game Preview: Tolono Unity Rockets vs. Monticello Sages + How To Watch

Two dominant signal callers in Dane Eisenmenger and Nolan Buehnerkemper are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Tolono Unity Rockets will take on the Monticello Sages at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Tolono Unity sitting on seven straight victories and Monticello on five.

Tolono Unity is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They blew past Mt. Carmel, posting a 42-14 win. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won eight games by 27 points or more so far this season.

It was another big night for Tre Hoggard, who picked up 70 receiving yards and one TD, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground.

Tolono Unity didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Graydin Cler and Tyler Henry. Henry got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monticello). They claimed a resounding 48-16 victory over Paris. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Monticello's receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by Will Osborne and Zeke Young. Osborne gained 96 total yards while Young gained 147 total yards. The dominant performance also gave Young a new career-high in receiving yards (125).

Tolono Unity's record now sits at 9-1. As for Monticello, their record is now 8-2.

Everything came up roses for Tolono Unity against Monticello in their previous meeting back in September, as the team secured a 34-7 victory. Do the Rockets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Sages turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
