Volleyball Game Preview: Bentley Phoenix vs. Albany Cougars

The Bentley Phoenix will head out to square off against the Albany Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bentley will be strutting in after a victory while Albany will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, Bentley made easy work of Valley Christian and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Phoenix in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won six in a row.

While Bentley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-18, 26-24.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Albany's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of El Cerrito.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: El Cerrito scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 23-25, 25-23, 25-20.

Albany's loss dropped their record down to 19-14. As for Bentley, the win got them back to even at 11-11.
