After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chapin, Brookland-Cayce was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Gilbert Indians 2-1. Brookland-Cayce wouldn't have won without Johan Desiderio, who scored the game-winner.

Brookland-Cayce now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Gilbert, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8-2.

Brookland-Cayce wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Saluda on the 14th. As for Gilbert, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Gray Collegiate Academy at 7:30 p.m. on the 22nd. Gray Collegiate Academy will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Gilbert surely won't give up without a fight.
