Football Recap: Salome Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Salome had lost four straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 2-3 to make it five. They were outmatched by the St. David Tigers and fell 64-0. The Frogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2017.

As for St. David, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. David to victory, but perhaps none more so than Vincent Ciccariello, who threw for 100 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 5-for-5 passing, and also punched in one rushing score. What's more, Ciccariello racked up 177.1 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August of 2024. Another player making a difference was Keston Richardson, who picked up 49 receiving yards and three scores.

Looking ahead, Salome will face off against Desert Heights Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Frogs will be up against the Yote's rather soft defense (which has allowed 32 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for St. David, they will square off against Superior at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.
