Football Recap: Hansen Huskies vs. Richfield Tigers
Hansen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell to the Richfield Tigers 44-38. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2020.
Devin Scott had an outrageously good game for Richfield as he rushed for 141 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 113 yards and three touchdowns. The dominant performance gave Scott a new career-high in rushing yards.
Hansen's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Richfield, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Carey the next time they take the field. Richfield will host Carey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Hansen will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on September 27th.
