Basketball Game Preview: Dallas HSAA Red Blue Angels vs. St. Mark's Lions

The Dallas HSAA Red Blue Angels will square off against the St. Mark's Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dallas HSAA Red has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Dallas HSAA Red is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell 75-66 to John Paul II back in January. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game back in December of 2024 (65), the Blue Angels still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, after a string of 17 wins, St. Mark's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Episcopal School of Dallas by a score of 48-46. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lions came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Eagles are ranked 436th).

Dallas HSAA Red has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for St. Mark's, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 25-6.

Dallas HSAA Red suffered a grim 72-50 defeat to St. Mark's when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Dallas HSAA Red avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
