Basketball Recap: Concord Academy Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Concord Academy). They claimed a resounding 92-48 victory over the Calvary Day School Cougars. With the Eagles ahead 52-26 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Concord Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonas Agyeman, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine assists. Agyeman is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Cruz Miller was another key player, going 8-for-11 en route to 17 points and seven assists.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Concord Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory keeps Concord Academy at an undefeated 8-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 72.3 points this season. As for Calvary Day School, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Coming up, Concord Academy will take on Lakeside at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Calvary Day School, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Asheville Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on December 2.
