Softball Recap: Westford Academy Takes a Loss

Westford Academy fell victim to Lincoln-Sudbury and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 12-0 to the Warriors. The Grey Ghosts just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Westford Academy's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-7. As for Lincoln-Sudbury, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Coming up, Westford Academy will take on Waltham at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln-Sudbury, they will square off against Acton-Boxborough at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Revolution have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
