Soccer Recap: Pinkston Comes Up Short

Pinkston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the A Plus Academy Knights. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Pinkston's goal came courtesy of Jose Joel Rangel, who's now up to 26 this season.

Pinkston's loss dropped their record down to 10-8-1. As for A Plus Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3-3 record this season.

Pinkston will head out to square off against Roosevelt at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Pinkston is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season. As for A Plus Academy, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Wilmer-Hutchins at 11:30 a.m.
