After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dobyns-Bennett, David Crockett was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They never let the Morristown-Hamblen West Trojans get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. This was payback for the Pioneers, who suffered a 7-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

David Crockett is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-13 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Morristown-Hamblen West, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-5.

Looking ahead, David Crockett will be playing at home against Jefferson County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Morristown-Hamblen West, they will head out on the road to challenge Sevier County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Smoky Bears will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
