With a playoff win on the line, Marengo rose to the challenge on Friday. They claimed a resounding 65-5 win over the Sweet Water Bulldogs. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 23 points or more this season.

Marengo pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.7 points per game. As for Sweet Water, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Marengo will host Shields at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Marengo's defense has only allowed 27.8 points per game this season, so Shields' offense will have their work cut out for them. Sweet Water does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
