Baseball Game Preview: Saint Stephen's Episcopal Falcons vs. Booker Tornadoes

Saint Stephen's Episcopal has gone 7-1 against Booker recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Falcons are taking a road trip to challenge the Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Saint Stephen's Episcopal came into their game last Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-4 to Canterbury.

Gabriel Conn made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. He has become a key player for Saint Stephen's Episcopal: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-4 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Booker unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against Lemon Bay, falling 14-4.

Booker saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dameer Watford, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Saint Stephen's Episcopal dropped their record down to 6-5 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Booker, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Saint Stephen's Episcopal has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Booker struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Saint Stephen's Episcopal came out on top in a nail-biter against Booker in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 8-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
