Basketball Recap: Manual Takes a Loss

Manual had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 9-3 to make it four. They took a 71-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Moline Maroons. The Rams lost against the Maroons in their previous head to head back in December of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 65-22 score last time.

As for Moline, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points over those games.

Moline's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aniya M Dixon, who posted 22 points. The matchup was M Dixon's eighth in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adalynn Voss, who earned 18 points.

Manual has already played their next game (against Tournament Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Moline, they have also already played their next contest, a 72-48 victory against MacArthur on the 27th.
