The Mitchell Mountaineers will face off against the Rosman Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Mitchell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Mitchell is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Patton just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

Mitchell saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaj Pitman, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Pitman also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Rosman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Mitchell, falling 17-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered against the Mountaineers since April 5, 2022.

Mitchell's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Rosman, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Mitchell has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Rosman struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Mitchell took their victory against Rosman in their previous meeting on Tuesday by a conclusive 17-2. Does Mitchell have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rosman turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
