Volleyball Game Preview: ALA - Anthem South Titans vs. Youngker Roughriders

The ALA - Anthem South Titans will venture away from home to take on the Youngker Roughriders at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

ALA - Anthem South can't be to happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Wednesday. They came up short against ALA - Ironwood, falling 3-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

ALA - Anthem South took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-9, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Youngker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Glendale.

ALA - Anthem South might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Youngker in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can ALA - Anthem South avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
