Basketball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Calvary Christian Academy lost against Chestertown Christian Academy back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Calvary Christian Academy LIONS took a 49-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chestertown Christian Academy Patriots. The LIONS just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Chestertown Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but John Stoltzfus led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Stoltzfus is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Brian Lloyd, who went 6 for 14 en route to 14 points and four steals.

Calvary Christian Academy's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-8. As for Chestertown Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Calvary Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 58-41 victory against Fairwinds Christian on the 30th. As for Chestertown Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 43-33 loss against Greenwood Mennonite on the 31st.
