Soccer Game Preview: Downers Grove North vs. Oak Park-River Forest

Downers Grove North took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Lyons.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oak Park-River Forest). They never let Proviso West get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for Oak Park-River Forest as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Oak Park-River Forest pushed their record up to 10-4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those three games. As for Downers Grove North, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 5-6-4.
