Baseball Recap: Blue Valley North Triumphs

Blue Valley North lost to Blue Springs back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Wildcats. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Blue Valley North got a great performance from Trey Weixeldorfer as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. What's more, Weixeldorfer posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

At the plate, Holden Groebl was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run. Ty Wintory also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Blue Valley North's victory bumped their record up to 13-9-1. As for Blue Springs, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-21-1.

As of now, neither Blue Valley North nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
