Volleyball Recap: Burton Takes a Loss

Burton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Garfield Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Scorpions of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Burton took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 25-21.

Burton's record now sits at 0-3. As for Garfield, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Burton will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Animo Pat Brown at 4:00 p.m. on March 19th. As for Garfield, they will square off against South East at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be Garfield's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
