Soccer Recap: Academy of the Holy Names Takes a Loss

Academy of the Holy Names lost against Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Academy of the Holy Names came up short against Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Academy of the Holy Names can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 218th, while Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk is ranked 44th).

Academy of the Holy Names' loss dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Academy of the Holy Names will challenge rival Voorheesville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk is set to square off against their familiar foe Mohonasen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
