Preview: Wolcott Eagles vs. Ansonia Chargers
The Wolcott Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Ansonia Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wolcott is no doubt hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 73-44, which was the final score in Wolcott's tilt against Torrington last Friday.
Meanwhile, Ansonia had to suffer through a rough 85-51 loss at the hands of Seymour. Ansonia was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-22.
Wolcott's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Ansonia, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
Wolcott was taken down by Ansonia 79-36 in their previous meeting back in January. Can Wolcott avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
