Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Augustine). They walked away with a 77-69 win over the Santa Fe Christian Eagles on Tuesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Saints' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 376th, while the Eagles are ranked 64th).

St. Augustine moved to 4-12 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Santa Fe Christian, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 15-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Augustine will host Victory Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Victory Christian Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something St. Augustine surely won't give up without a fight. As for Santa Fe Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Francis Parker at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th.
