Volleyball Recap: William Penn Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

William Penn took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against York Catholic, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bearcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Fighting Irish on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2. This was payback for the Bearcats, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day William Penn got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 14-25, 25-22, 17-25, 15-8.

William Penn's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7. As for York Catholic, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, William Penn will venture away from home to square off against Susquehannock at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for York Catholic, they will welcome Spring Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
