Softball Recap: ITW David Speer Academy's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Elgin on Saturday, ITW David Speer Academy came back down to earth. The Pride took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Leyden Eagles on Tuesday.

Kloey Reyes was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Amaya Tinsley, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two doubles.

ITW David Speer Academy's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7. As for Leyden, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-7.

Coming up, ITW David Speer Academy will head out on the road to face off against DePaul College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Leyden, they will welcome Willowbrook at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.29 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
