Basketball Recap: Eustace Takes a Loss

Eustace lost to Malakoff back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bulldogs were beaten by the Tigers 61-22. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zach Durnell and Colton Lawson certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Durnell posted nine points and seven boards, while Lawson had four points. Collin Russel also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Eustace's loss dropped their record down to 9-19. As for Malakoff, the victory was their first at home, bumping their record up to 5-11.

Eustace wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-40 defeat against Winona on the 20th. Malakoff has also already played their next contest (against Mineola), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
