Volleyball Recap: Gilbert Comes Up Short

Gilbert was the 2-1 winner over Lugoff-Elgin when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians fell 2-0 to the Demons on Saturday.

Despite the loss, Gilbert saw an underclassman step up: freshman Abigail Widmann had eight digs and three assists.

Gilbert's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Lugoff-Elgin, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 21-3.

As of now, neither Gilbert nor the Demons have any future games scheduled.
