Softball Recap: Ganesha Find Success

Ganesha owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Etiwanda Eagles 1-0.

The result came thanks to Isabella Lopez's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ganesha's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nevaeh Wilson, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Malia Becerra also deserves some recognition as she stole her first stolen base of the season.

The victory got Ganesha back to even at 3-3-1. As for Etiwanda, they moved to 5-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Ganesha will look to defend their home field on Thursday against King at 3:00 p.m. Ganesha's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so King's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Etiwanda, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Eagles face off against the Thunderbirds at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
