Football Recap: Rosman Sets Scoring Season-High Against Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Rosman had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 38-28 win over the Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy Eagles. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Rosman found their leader in sophomore Brayan Reynaldo, who rushed for 133 yards and four scores on only 14 carries. Those 133 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Reynaldo. Another player making a difference was Zeke Gainey, who rushed for 94 yards and one TD on only ten carries.

Rosman was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 365 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Rosman's defense and their three sacks. Reynaldo was especially locked on to Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy's QB and sacked him twice. Reynaldo also rushed for 133 rushing yards, which is notable because Rosman is 3-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 0-7 otherwise.

With the victory, Rosman broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-8. As for Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Rosman wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 27-8 defeat against South Davidson on the 14th. Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
