Softball Recap: Silverado Extends Winning Streak to Four

While Silverado's win against Burroughs wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Silverado came out on top in a nail-biter against Burroughs on Wednesday, sneaking past 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hawks have posted since April 18, 2024.

Alexis Rodriguez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on 11 hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in walks (zero).

At the plate, Jasmine Crespo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

The win (which was Silverado's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Burroughs, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-7 record.

Coming up, Silverado will head out on the road to square off against Adelanto at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Adelanto has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.7 runs per game on average), something Silverado will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Burroughs, they will welcome Paraclete at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
