Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four matches, Boston College High finally came back down to earth on Sunday. They lost 6-0 to St. John's Prep. Boston College High's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Matt Reardon was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

St. John's win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Boston College High, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
