It was a good run, but  Vista Ridge unfortunately witnessed the end of their  three-match winning streak on Friday. They fell  3-1 to the Round Rock Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-1  back in September.
 Vista Ridge started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-20, 25-14,  25-15.
 Vista Ridge's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Lilly Gowan, who  had 22 assists and 13  digs. Gowan is  on a roll when it comes to  assists, as she's  now  posted 17 or more in each of the last three games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Addison Chenault, who  had 22  digs and two  aces.
 Leading Round Rock to victory were  Isa Cordaway-Dreier and  Viviana Astill.  Cordaway-Dreier  had 25  digs, while  Astill  had nine  digs and one assist. That's the most  digs  Cordaway-Dreier has posted since back in August.
Vista Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 23-18. As for Round Rock, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 34-8 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Vista Ridge will  face off against  rival Cedar Ridge  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Round Rock is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Round Rock Westwood  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
