League recap: Tri-West Hendricks tops Edgewood to extend winning streak

Tri-West Hendricks added to the longest winning streak in Sagamore this week by beating Edgewood, 32-18. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.

Frankfort lost to New Haven 47-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jarrod Smith was a bright spot for the Hot Dogs, as he ran for 31 yards and caught 2 passes for 50 yards in the loss.

Wes Cook was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 94 yards on 16 carries as Tri-West Hendricks lost to the Bulldogs. Jake Hendershot also contributed to the rushing game with 58 yards on the ground.

6-foot-2 quarterback Hendershot of Chris Coll's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2,372. He has also thrown 17 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Riggs Baxter. The Western Boone star has 50 catches for 807 yards.

The Bruins led the league in scoring this week by notching 32 points on the Mustangs. Hendershot threw for 122 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 58 yards during the win.
