Football Recap: Decatur Skates Past Kent-Meridian with Ease + How To Watch

Decatur won the last time they faced Kent-Meridian and things went their way on Saturday too. The Golden Gators breezed past the Royals to the tune of 47-7. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-0.

Decatur's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Antoine Williams, who threw for 175 yards and a pair of TDs. Devin Caoagdan helped Williams out on the ground, rushing for 49 yards and one touchdown.

Decatur's run defense was locked in: Kent-Meridian could only muster 0.2 yards per carry. The Golden Gators didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.5.

The victory got Decatur back to even at 2-2. As for Kent-Meridian, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Looking ahead, Decatur will take on Skyview at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Gators will be up against the Storm's rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Kent-Meridian, they will challenge Federal Way at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 14.5 points per game this season, so the Royals' offense will have their work cut out for them.
