Baseball Recap: Fleming Island Comes Up Short

Fleming Island made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bartram Trail, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Golden Eagles fell just short of the Bears by a score of 3-1 on Monday.

Fleming Island saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tucker Fordham, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Fleming Island's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Bartram Trail, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Fleming Island does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bartram Trail, they will square off against Tocoi Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears are facing the Toros at the right time seeing as the Toros are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
