St. Anne-Pacelli came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Northside Patriots. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 2-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

St. Anne-Pacelli had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-12, 15-10.

Malia Resnick paced St. Anne-Pacelli's offense, picking up ten kills. Resnick got some help from Anna Do and her 24 assists. Resnick was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

St. Anne-Pacelli's victory bumped their record up to 21-2. As for Northside, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-13.

St. Anne-Pacelli didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Lee-Scott Academy on the 2nd. As for Northside, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Houston County at 5:15 p.m. on the 10th.
