Volleyball Recap: Centennial Baptist Takes Down Treasure Valley Classical Academy in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Centennial Baptist had no problem doing just that on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Treasure Valley Classical Academy. The win was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won three contests in a row.

Centennial Baptist walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-11, 25-16.

Centennial Baptist's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Katie Oostra led the charge by getting five kills, three blocks, and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Oostra a new career-high in assists (four). Samantha Zayas was another key player, getting four digs and two aces.

Centennial Baptist now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Treasure Valley Classical Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-9.

Coming up, Centennial Baptist will head out to challenge Riverstone International at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Treasure Valley Classical Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
