It's playoff time, and Martinsburg had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Wheeling Park Patriots on Saturday as they made off with a 55-35 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by 20 points or more this season.

Martinsburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Boston Todd, who rushed for 69 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also picked up 32 receiving yards. Brian Dick was another key player, rushing for 91 yards and two scores on only nine carries.

When it comes to explaining why Wheeling Park lost, don't look at Brennan Wack. Despite the final result, he rushed for 186 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 12 yards and two touchdowns. Wack is becoming a predictor of the Patriots' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 7-2 (and 0-3 when he doesn't). Nolan Yanchak was in the mix as well, providing Wheeling Park with two scores.

Martinsburg's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.4 points on average over those games. As for Wheeling Park, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Martinsburg will host University at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wheeling Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
